ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The L.E.A.D. Center serves disengaged/out-of-school/in-school young adults (16-24 years of age) who reside within Volusia County. Our program design is a non-traditional approach to education, with a holistic perspective focusing on the development of every person's intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, and creative potentials. Specifically, participants receive academic support from a trained educator who specializes in adult education to earn a secondary diploma. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to obtain industry-recognized certifications in one of the following industries: Construction; Leisure & Hospitality; Information Technology (IT); Healthcare; Retail Sales; Manufacturing; Transportation, Logistics & Distribution, and Business & Professional Services and obtain financial literacy education, leadership development, employment-readiness training, followed by employment-placement assistance.
