The Housing Authority of the City of Daytona Beach (HACDB) is a public entity that was formed in 1938 to provide federally subsidized housing and housing assistance to low-income families, within the City of Daytona Beach, FL. The Agency is headed by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is governed by a five-person board of commissioners and is subject to the requirements of Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations and the Agency’s procurement policy. HACDB administers a variety of affordable housing programs including Public Housing; Housing Choice Vouchers; Low Income Housing Tax Credits; May seek Tax Exempt Bond Financing. HACDB is seeking bids from qualified maintenance repair providers to provide improvements to assist older, low-income homeowners to safely stay in their homes.

 

The resulting contract shall be of an Indefinite-Quantity type with stated limits for a term of one year with the HACDB having the option to renew the contract for a period of up to a total five years.  It is the intention to award to multiple contractors to form a pool of eligible maintenance providers.  Each awarded provider will be placed in the pool based on cost and rotated as-needed, based on availability, with lowest cost provider always being called first with the second lowest cost provider being contacted next only if the first provider is not available to do the work as required as so forth.

Work assignments under this contract shall be executed as individual task orders with an agreed upon scope, price and timeframe for performance.  All additional work must be approved in writing in advance of proceeding.  HACDB will not be responsible to pay the contractor for work performed without the written approval of the Project Manager.  The contractor shall be responsible for the any repair necessitated by work performed outside of the scope of work of the approved task order.

Sealed bids will be accepted at the Housing Authority of the City of Daytona Beach (HACDB) until the date and time noted below.  Bids will be publicly opened and recorded in Suite 200, 211 N. Ridgewood Ave, Daytona Beach FL 32114.

Pre-Bid Meeting will be held: Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 3:00 pm EST at the location listed above

Bid Opening: Tuesday, November 30, 2021 January 18, 2022 at 3:00 pm EST
